Description
Mild asthma patients make up about 30–40% of severe asthma exacerbations requiring an emergency room visit or hospitalization. This program aims to optimize the management of mild asthma in children (6–11 years old) to help clinicians shift from a reactive approach (managing exacerbations) to a more proactive strategy (preventing exacerbations) by identifying risk factors for poor control, addressing patient and caregiver concerns, and optimizing pharmacologic therapy.

Module 1: Detect uncontrolled mild asthma in children and risk factors for exacerbation.

Module 3: Prescribe a management strategy for mild pediatric asthma through shared-decision making.
