Antibody deficiencies are associated with infections, immune dysfunction, end organ damage, and significant morbidity and mortality. Immunoglobulin replacement therapy (IRT) is the standard of care for patients with antibody deficiency due to a primary or secondary immune deficiency. Immunoglobulin infusion nurses work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and play a vital role in the care and education of patients requiring IRT therapy.
