Learning Objective(s)

  1. Recognise that erectile dysfunction (ED) is a contributor to and indicator of overall male health status.
  2. Evaluate the relationship between ED and associated co-morbidities, including lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
  3. Identify patients experiencing ED by using appropriate questions and validated questionnaires.
  4. Counsel patients on conservative measures and appropriate pharmacological treatment options for ED, including dosage regimens, patient safety and possible adverse effects.
