On completion of this program, participants will be better able to:

  1. Describe key clinical features of multiple sclerosis (MS) including epidemiology, aetiology, clinical presentation and diagnosis
  2. Outline the range of treatment options for MS with a focus on oral therapies, including an appreciation of the advantages and disadvantages of different oral therapies
  3. Evaluate the clinical trials that form the evidence base for use of oral therapy, with an emphasis on the management of adverse events associated with these therapies
  4. Recognise the clinical situations in which it is appropriate to initiate or switch to oral therapy for MS
