Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the importance of a multifactorial approach to pharmacotherapy in the management of type 2 diabetes, including glycaemic control, weight reduction, increasing physical activity, improving dyslipidaemia and CV risk reduction
  2. Understand the importance of weight on the management type 2 diabetes and antihyperglycaemic selection
  3. Facilitate clinical decision making for selecting the appropriate class of drug for the individual patient
  4. Review the importance of frailty on antihyperglycaemic selection and diabetes management
