After participating in this program, general practitioners will be better able to:

  1. Recognise patient groups at particular risk of meningococcal B infection.
  2. Describe the role of meningococcal group B vaccine in preventing invasive meningococcal disease and its sequelae in Australia today.
  3. Recall the dosing schedule and immune response to vaccination with Meningococcal Group B Vaccine, as well as safety of the vaccine in infants, young children and adolescents.
  4. Discuss the strain coverage estimates for vaccination using Meningococcal Antigen Typing System (MATS).
