Enhancing Your Role in AMD Prevention and Management: The Importance of Ocular Vitamins – Canadian Council On Continuing Education In Pharmacy (CCCEP)

Upon successful completion of this continuing education program, the pharmacist will be better able to:

1. Recognize the scope and impact of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in Canada
2. Identify patients at risk of AMD or AMD progression
3. Promote non-pharmacological AMD management strategies
4. Discuss the role of ocular vitamin formulations in AMD management based on the results of the Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS) trials
5. Assess whether a patient is using the most appropriate ocular vitamin
6. Apply key learnings to patients in clinical practice
