After participating in this program, GPs will be better able to:

1. Diagnose allergic rhinitis, and identify differential diagnoses
2. Recall the impact on united airway diseases and classification of allergic rhinitis
3. Identify pharmacotherapeutic options for the treatment of allergic rhinitis based on classification, efficacy, side effects and specific needs (e.g. sleep)
4. Influence medication adherence and persistence through patient education
5. Recognise when to refer patients for specialist consultation
