On completion of this program, participants will be better able to:
- Recognise that contraceptive non-adherence contributes to high rates of unintended pregnancies
- Assist patients to make contraceptive choices that best suit their individual needs and circumstances
- Review the recent evidence regarding the relative risk of venous thromboembolism across the major classes of oral contraceptive pills currently available
- Develop a consultation plan to clinically assess and follow-up patients requiring contraception
