Do you know that Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the third leading cause of death worldwide, causing 3.23 million deaths in 2019?
In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the prevalence of COPD has been estimated at around 4% of adults aged over 40 years in the general population. The prevalence is expected to grow rapidly, given smoking rates in the region are generally high and rising.
This engaging discussion will focus on practical considerations for the treatment of patients with COPD and review current practices and challenges associated with the disease management in the Middle East.
This program has received an educational grant or in-kind support from Viatris.
