Learning objectives
On completion of the learning module, participants will improve their:
- Knowledge of the key clinical features of GIST, including epidemiology, clinical presentation and diagnosis
- Familiarity with the clinical implications of GIST mutations, including secondary mutations and different types of resistance and the consequences thereof.
- Understanding of the role of mutation testing as a possible predictor of response to treatment in GIST.
- Confidence in therapy optimisation approaches to managing metastatic GIST, including patient assessment and appropriateness of treatment decisions.
- Awareness of printable resources such as treatment and management algorithms or guidelines and patient resources.
