Pharmapod Safety Series for Busy Pharmacies – Episode 1: Creating Your Own Safety Net
We’re pleased to introduce the Pharmapod Safety Series, designed to help busy pharmacies improve safety. The Series provides valuable insights into Pharmacy safety and identifies how to identify and track medication incidents as well as strategies to manage and prevent medication incidents.
This course, “Creating Your Own Safety Net” is the first course in the Pharmapod Safety Series and focuses on creating a safety net to handle environmental distractions, a top contributing factor in 2023 and a real issue experienced during stressful situations.

This is the first in a safety series of four 20 to 30-minute webinars for pharmacists and other healthcare providers. The goals are to provide valuable learnings from the Pharmapod database and discuss how to best use the features in Pharmapod to support daily pharmacy practice. This first webinar focuses on creating a safety net to handle environmental distraction using two quality improvement tools: Plan Do Study Act and Pharmacy Safety Self Assessment. Utilizing Pharmapod’s quality improvement tools, the webinar will discuss how to anticipate problems and manage risky contributing factors.
