Learning Objective(s)

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss the key aspects of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the impact to the patient across the lifespan
  2. Review the treatment options, place in therapy and side effects of medications commonly used in ADHD management for adults and children
  3. Discuss the differences between bioequivalence and clinical equivalence of ADHD medications and how/why this is important from a pharmacist recommendation and patient care perspective
  4. Capitalize on the opportunity for the pharmacist-patient relationship to optimize the care and outcomes of patients with ADHD; specifically, monitoring the health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy and advising patients about medications including possible side effects
