GLP-1 Receptor Agonists: Once Weekly Options for the Management of Type 2 Diabetes – Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec (OPQ)

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonists available in Canada for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
2. Compare the daily and weekly GLP-1R agonists
3. Recognize clinical situations where a GLP-1R agonists could be used for patients with type 2 diabetes
4. Consider patient and agent characteristics when individualizing the choice of GLP-1R agonists for patients with type 2 diabetes
5. Identify and address potential barriers when advancing to injectable therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes
