After completing this program, the GP will be better able to:

  1. Identify patients who are unable to attain glycaemic control with their current oral antihyperglycaemic therapy
  2. Review the clinical efficacy and tolerability of SGLT2 inhibitors
  3. Recognise the clinical role of SGLT2 inhibitors, based on current Australian treatment guidelines
  4. Ascertain which patients among their caseload would benefit from intensification of oral antihyperglycaemic therapy.
