The new role of the GP in managing testosterone deficiency – ACRRM

On completion of this program, participants will be better able to:

1. Recognise the symptoms and comorbidities associated with testosterone deficiency
2. Recall the clinical diagnostic criteria of testosterone deficiency, and identify when referral is warranted
3. Apply the new PBS criteria for testosterone prescribing, and address the impact of these new criteria for current and new patients
4. Recognise the barriers men face when presenting to GPs with symptoms of testosterone deficiency, and counsel patients on selecting a tailored treatment option from the available choices.
