Psychiatric diagnosis and management of binge eating disorder (BED) – Certificate of Completion

After completing this program, psychiatrists will be better able to:

1. Distinguish binge eating disorder (BED) as a defined diagnostic entity from other eating disorders
2. Identify patients with BED by recognising the symptomatology, diagnostic criteria and key differentials of the condition
3. Assess the burden of illness on the patient, and recognise important comorbid conditions and treatment gaps associated with BED
4. Utilise clinical tools to screen for comorbid BED in patients presenting with other psychiatric conditions
5. Recall the principals of psychiatric management of BED
