Learning Objective(s)

On completion of the learning module, participants will improve their:

  1. Knowledge of the key clinical features of GIST, including epidemiology, clinical presentation and diagnosis
  2. Familiarity with the clinical implications of GIST mutations, including secondary mutations and different types of resistance and the consequences thereof.
  3. Understanding of the role of mutation testing as a possible predictor of response to treatment in GIST.
  4. Confidence in therapy optimisation approaches to managing metastatic GIST, including patient assessment and appropriateness of treatment decisions.
  5. Awareness of printable resources such as treatment and management algorithms or guidelines and patient resources.
