Course Description

Eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE) is a chronic, local, immune-mediated oesophageal disease, characterised clinically by symptoms related to oesophageal dysfunction and histologically by eosinophil-predominant inflammation.

The incidence and prevalence of EoE has been rising over the last 20 years but diagnostic delay is common. Management options may include dietary modification and pharmacological options.

This program will help improve your awareness of EoE, helping you to identify which patients would benefit from referral to a gastroenterologist for endoscopy. The program will also help improve your skills when managing and supporting patients who have been diagnosed with EoE.
