Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe how recent changes in the law have allowed patients the right to seek medical assistance in dying (MAID).
  2. Detail the respective roles of registered nurses and nurse practitioners in caring for patients requesting or receiving MAID under the new laws.
  3. Conduct their role in accordance with federal and local laws when caring for patients requesting or receiving MAID.
