  1. Recognise seizures from patient descriptors in a general practice setting, and distinguish between different seizure types
  2. Recall initial treatment and common add-on options for different types of seizures, and understand the prescribing implications of age and gender, based on pharmacokinetic and other factors
  3. Monitor medications and understand typical class side effects of various anti-epileptic drugs (AED) to optimise patient safety
  4. Identify the circumstances in which referral to a neurologist is warranted.
