Learning Objective(s)

On completion of the learning module, participants will be better able to:

  1. describe key clinical features of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (pNET) including epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation and diagnosis
  2. increase awareness of this rare tumour that is often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed due to non-specific symptoms
  3. outline the range of treatment options and treatment algorithms that exist for pancreatic NET
  4. define approaches to therapy optimisation in order to effectively manage pNET, including patient assessment and appropriateness of treatment decisions
  5. individualise patient management so as to enhance both patient survival and quality of life, and monitor adverse effects of therapy in order to prioritise patient safety
