1. The epidemiology and symptom presentation of cough in general practice
2. The pathophysiology and differential diagnosis of cough
3. The management options for adult and adolescent patients who present with cough, either as a primary symptom or as part of a more complex presentation
4. The appropriate use of over-the-counter products, with a view to patient safety.
