On completing this learning module, participants will be better able to:
- Recognise the significant impact of sleep apnoea on health, wellbeing and safety
- Recognise the signs and symptoms that may help identify patients who are at risk for sleep apnoea, as well as its sequelae
- Discuss the treatment pathway for sleep apnoea with patients, and refer patients for further testing
- Implement patient counselling and follow-up protocols to facilitate adherence to prescribed devices, and to ensure ongoing benefits and prevent relapse.
