Upon completion of this continuing education program participants will be better able to:

  • Determine the management of hyperglycemia in an older adult with type 2 diabetes currently using basal insulin
  • Discuss the role of frailty and cognitive impairment on diabetes management
  • Review the role of the diabetes management team and interprofessional collaboration to improve outcomes in older adults with type 2 diabetes
