Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) are highly prevalent gastrointestinal disorders, associated with a major impact on patient quality of life, work productivity and healthcare costs.
This program will encourage clinicians to play a greater role in recognizing and diagnosing chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC), constipation-predominant IBS (IBS-C), and diarrhea-predominant IBS (IBS-D) within their practice, and to optimize IBS management with appropriate treatment options. It will also encourage clinicians to recognize the need for timely escalation of treatment in people who continue to have symptoms despite the use of OTC medications.
This program has received an educational grant or in-kind support from Allergan.
