This program supports clinicians in prescribing an appropriate oral contraceptive, taking into account the different side effect profiles, risks and non-contraceptive benefits of the available products.
This program reviews the rationale behind the different estrogen doses contained in the combined oral contraceptives and the different durations of the hormone-free interval, with the aim of increasing clinicians’ confidence in collaborating with women seeking oral contraception.
