This workshop will focus on the relationship between obesity, type 2 diabetes and NAFLD and how clinicians can improve patient outcomes. It will look at the current standard of care provided to these patients and how interprofessional collaboration can be used to reduce the disease and economic burden of these diseases.

Upon completion of this continuing education program, participants will be better able to:
- Discuss the relationship between the obesity, type 2 diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
- Describe how patients with these conditions will normally progress down a cascade leading to poor outcomes.
- Identify and address key barriers to patients with these common metabolic conditions.
- Determine the most appropriate interventions to implement to reduce disease burden in this patient population.
