Remission vs. Regulation: Discussing Options for Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
Recent evidence regarding diabetes remission has increased the number of options for patients with type 2 diabetes. In addition to reviewing the evidence for remission of type 2 diabetes, this module will discuss guideline recommendations for initiating therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes. Using a patient case, the module will provide clinicians with an example for how to engage patients in shared decision making and how to individualise treatment according to patient values, preferences, and priorities.
