Real-World Lessons: Vaccination Solutions for Hard-to-Reach Populations

Although vaccine uptake of the first two doses of COVID-19 vaccines occurred in a large portion of American adults, there are some groups that have been commonly missed through traditional public health vaccine programs. Some of these groups are also at much higher risk of severe COVID-19 outcomes. Developing programs to address the needs of these communities must be patient-centered and be developed in conjunction with partners in the community.

This education program will review the steps to consider when developing initiatives to improve access and vaccine uptake in different groups. It will also share expert insight regarding lessons learned from these initiatives in other parts of the country.
