Le diabète a été classé parmi les plus importantes urgences sanitaires à l’échelle mondiale au 21e siècle. Chaque année, de plus en plus de canadiens reçoivent le diagnostic de cette condition de santé grave. La technologie de surveillance continue du glucose en temps réel (SCGtr) s’est révélée comme un outil précieux dans la prise en charge du diabète, en fournissant des informations en temps réel sur la glycémie, permettant ainsi la mise en place plus proactive et plus précise d’interventions visant à optimiser les résultats chez les personnes vivant avec le diabète. La SCGrt procure plusieurs avantages pour les diabétiques, notamment un suivi continuel, des alertes préventives en temps opportun, une réduction du risque d’hypoglycémie, une meilleure prise en charge du diabète et une meilleure qualité de vie.
