Glucose Monitoring: Optimizing Diabetes Care and Management | Module 1 – “What is Your Time in Range?” – Optimizing Diabetes Care using Sensor-based Technology
Advances in diabetes management have resulted in the development of sensor-based glucose monitoring technologies that help people with diabetes achieve optimal glycemic control. Familiarizing clinicians with sensor-based glucose monitoring technologies and data interpretation will help to increase knowledge and understanding, supporting clinicians in recommending it to patients, and optimizing its use in clinical practice.
This program reviews the use of time in range (TIR) to facilitate interpretation and understanding of sensor-based glucose monitoring data to inform therapeutic and behavioural interventions for improved diabetes care.

Faculty
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this continuing education program, participants will be able to:
- Review and interpret the glycemic data generated from sensor-based glucose monitoring technologies
- Describe the benefits of using time in range (TIR) in addition to A1C to improve diabetes management
- Apply the TIR data in clinical practice to support individualized diabetes management
