Learning objectives
Upon completion of this continuing education program participants will be better able to:
- Describe the role of tear film stability, nociceptive disturbances, and inflammation in dry eye disease (DED) pathogenesis;
- Apply the TFOS DEWS IITM report definitions and classifications in recognizing and assessing DED;
- Differentiate between therapeutic options for DED;
- Effectively counsel patients on potential side effects of some DED therapies;
- Make recommendations for DED management in accordance with Canadian guidelines.
