Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the diagnostic approach for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Summarize the treatment for COPD as per Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) 2017 guidelines and Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) 2017 position statement
- Discuss the role of maintenance pharmacotherapy therapies in COPD, including long-acting bronchodilators (i.e., long-acting β2-agonists [LABAs], long-acting muscarinic antagonists [LAMAs], and LAMA/LABA dual therapy) and inhaled corticosteroids
