Dyspnoea is a common and distressing symptom experienced by many people presenting in primary care. This program will give you the confidence to assess breathless patients using a systematic approach, interpret diagnostic tests and identify dyspnoeic patients who may need urgent referral. - Identify common and important pathological causes of dyspnoea in adults
- Recognise clinical situations where referral is appropriate for urgent or ongoing management
- Use a systematic approach to assess the breathless patient and determine if/which investigations may be required
- Interpret the results of diagnostic tests commonly used to investigate dyspnoea
