Endocrinology
Managing Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis – Specialist Case (Latin America)
Each year an increasing number of people worldwide are being diagnosed with diabetes with potentially devastating complications. Although the majority of patients with type 2 diabetes are diagnosed at the primary care level, there are a significant portion of patients with undiagnosed hyperglycemia who may present at specialist care for complications or other conditions. Endocrinologists, cardiologists, and nephrologists must collaborate with each other and primary care clinicians to ensure that continuity of diabetes care is maintained with all these patients.
This program has received an unrestricted educational grant or in-kind support from Novo Nordisk A/S.
