From Podcast to Practice: Reducing the Risk of Stroke in Patients with Diabetes
Stroke is the third leading cause of death in Canada. Patients with diabetes are at elevated risk of stroke. Those patients with diabetes who develop a stroke are at higher risk of mortality, disability and future strokes compared to those without diabetes. Through best practice, clinicians can help to reduce the overall stroke risk in their patients with diabetes. In this podcast, Drs. Tess Fitzpatrick and Ronald Goldenberg review the key and practical recommendations that clinicians can utilize to reduce stroke risk in patients with diabetes.
This program has received an unrestricted educational grant or in-kind support from Eli Lilly.
