The Physician’s Challenge: Gaining Control In Atopic Dermatitis (AD) – MOC Section 1

Upon successful completion of this continuing education program, participants will be able to:

1. Identify the key aspects of diagnosing and treating atopic dermatitis (AD) (or eczema).
2. Describe the safe and appropriate use of topical options, including the role of steroid and non-steroid treatments in achieving and maintaining control of atopic dermatitis or eczema.
3. Implement atopic dermatitis or eczema management with a step-wise approach that includes the 4 cornerstones of treatment and 4Rs counselling tool.
4. Improve treatment adherence and patient outcomes in atopic dermatitis (or eczema) through effective counselling, patient education, and by utilizing long-term management goals.
5. Consider a proactive strategy for treating and managing atopic dermatitis (or eczema).
