Simplifying glycaemic management for people with type 2 diabetes with comorbid renal impairment – QI&CPD – Category 2

After completing this learning module, GPs will be better able to:

1. Appreciate risk factors and prevalence of renal impairment in people with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D)
2. Recall current recommendations regarding glycaemic control in people with T2D and renal impairment
3. Review the diabetes medicines with acceptable safety profiles for patients with renal impairment
4. Identify antihyperglycaemic medications that do not require dosage adjustment for patients with renal impairment
