Objectif(s) d'apprentissage

After participating in this program, GPs will be better able to:

  1. Distinguish between food intolerances and other common gastric presentations, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and chronic idiopathic constipation.
  2. Describe symptoms of IBS and be able to identify patients with specific subtypes of IBS.
  3. Recommend appropriate therapies for IBS and constipation, including over-the-counter and prescribed products, to improve patient outcomes and optimise safety
  4. Recognise when referral to a gastroenterologist is required
