After completing this program, GPs will be better able to:

  1. Recognise the diverse range of non-motor symptoms caused by Parkinson’s disease (PD), and the burden on quality of life for patients with PD.
  2. Identify the relevance of gastrointestinal complications in the management of advancing PD.
  3. Advise patients on the practical management of sleep dysfunction caused by PD.
  4. Present appropriate and safe pharmacotherapy options to patients with PD and identify when referral to a neurologist is required.
