Incretin Therapy in Type 2 Diabetes: Implementing the CDA Guidelines – MOC Section 1

At completion of the program, the participant should be able to implement the new 2013 CDA clinical practice guidelines in the following aspects of incretin-based management of type 2 diabetes:

1. Initiate and adjust therapy for timely management
2. Describe and differentiate the GLP-1 receptor agonist and DPP-4 inhibitor therapies
3. Individualize treatment, based on agent and patient characteristics
4. Support patient adherence to and satisfaction with therapy
