After participating in this program, GPs will be better able to:

  1. Understand the place of plant sterol-enriched foods in a healthy diet
  2. Identify patients who may benefit from the inclusion of plant sterol-enriched foods in their diet
  3. Be familiar with the sources of plant sterol-enriched foods and quantities needed for LDL-C reduction
  4. Understand the role of plant sterol-enriched foods as an adjunct to statins in lipid management
