After successful completion of the program, the participant will be able to:
- Identify appropriate use of over-the-counter (OTC) analgesics such as acetaminophen for specific patients (e.g. patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, osteoarthritis).
- Explore the efficacy and safety of acetaminophen and its role in providing mild to moderate pain relief, including analgesia for patients taking low-dose acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) 81 mg for cardioprotection.
- Implement patient counselling regarding the appropriate use of acetaminophen.
