After participating in this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognise the prevalence of opioid-induced constipation in patients with chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP)
  2. Recall the treatment options for opioid-induced constipation in patients with moderate to severe CNCP
  3. Review the role of fixed dose opioid agonists/antagonists in managing opioid-induced constipation
  4. Counsel patients on lifestyle, non-pharmacological and pharmacological management options of opioid-induced constipation in the context of appropriate opioid prescribing.
