After completing this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the mechanisms and manifestations of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM).
- Analyze the impact of current antihyperglycemic agents and/or regimens on CV risk, and the theoretical mechanisms for the impact of incretin agents in this regard.
- Discuss the potential clinical implications of ongoing and upcoming trials addressing CV risk reduction in the T2DM population.
