Describe the SOGC guidelines on alcohol use and pregnancy with respect to assessing, advising and assisting women on use of alcohol prior to and during pregnancy
Discuss risks associated with alcohol use in pregnancy
Recognize women at risk for alcohol abuse or dependency
Use a standardized screening tool when discussing drinking patterns with pregnant patients
Advise women about the risks of alcohol use prior to and during pregnancy
Counsel women on abstinence or harm reduction related to alcohol use prior to and during pregnancy
