Pharmacists have demonstrated that they can increase access and immunization rates against serious infections such as influenza. With the proper skillset, they can extend this success to other important immunizations for their patients. <\/p>\n<p>This program will provide pharmacists with key information on meningococcal type B immunization. This infection is the most prevalent form of invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) in Canada. Although this infection is relatively rare, no other bacterial agent may kill as swiftly after bloodstream invasion as the meningococcus.
