While it is diagnosed in three to four people per million, it is actually believed to occur in 60 in every million people.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, patients often don\u2019t associate their symptoms with a serious condition, so they don\u2019t bring up the symptoms in conversations with their doctors. And because physicians see so few cases of acromegaly during their careers, the disease is not generally top of mind.
