The statistics are startling \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.ca\/en\/research\/cancer-statistics\/cancer-statistics-at-a-glance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two in five Canadians<\/a>\u00a0(44% of men and 43% of women) are expected to develop cancer in their lifetime, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.ca\/en\/research\/cancer-statistics\/cancer-statistics-at-a-glance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">one in four\u00a0<\/a>Canadians are expected to die from the disease.<\/p>\n<p>Lung, breast, colorectal and prostate cancer are the most common cancers diagnosed in Canada, accounting for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.ca\/en\/research\/cancer-statistics\/cancer-statistics-at-a-glance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">46 percent<\/a>\u00a0of all new cases in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Though there is no sure-fire way to prevent cancer, regular screening in combination with a healthy lifestyle are some of the best steps you can take to stay healthy and cancer-free.
